We will resume class on May 6th at 10:45am in Kellogg Hall. Our class will be studying different religions. We want to learn more about our neighbors’ beliefs and how much we have in common. Our hope is to continue to grow in appreciation of all God’s children.
On May 6th, our friend Louise Theriault will discuss Islam and the Muslim tradition.

Our Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 16th from 6-7pm in Fellowship Hall. This delicious dinner is free and open to the community!

On Easter Sunday, we will have two services, our sunrise service is at 6am in the memorial garden, and our traditional service is at 10am in the Sanctuary. We will invite our children to stay in the sanctuary with us during the 10am service and have some fun activities planned for them.

Please join us for the Maundy Thursday service on Thursday, March 28th at 7pm in Fellowship Hall. We will be coming together for communion and scripture.
Easter Egg Hunt
Easter Egg Hunt, March 24th
There will be an Easter Egg Hunt after church on Palm Sunday, March 24th for the children. All participants will receive an Easter Goody Bag. Weather permitting this will be held outdoors. If not the eggs will be hidden indoors. “Hop” to see you there!!!

This year’s Trunk or Treat will take place on Sunday, October 29th at 11:30am after church. Last year’s event was a blast! Don’t miss out on all the fun this year. Remember to wear your costume to church, even if you can’t participate afterwards.

Come join us as we study the book, Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus, by Ann Spangler and Lois Tverberg starting on Monday, September 18th at 10:45am in Kellogg Hall. All are welcome.
Drop off For Tag Sale
You can drop off your contributions for the Fall Festival tag sale from September 17th-24th in Fellowship Hall during office hours Monday - Thursday, 9am-2pm. You can also drop off on the 24th from 11am-12pm. Please no hazardous waste items or clothing, and make sure all items are as clean as possible. We also will be in need of large brown paper grocery bags which can be dropped off during this time.

Pastor Alisa Dickhoff’s Ecclesiastical Council
Please join us, and the Tolland Association, at the First Congregational Church of Vernon, UCC on Thursday, June 8th at 6pm in our beautiful sanctuary for Pastor Alisa Dickhoff's Ecclesiastical Council. The Ecclesiastical Council is the last requirement for ordination into the United Church of Christ as an ordained minister. Those in attendance will be able to hear a portion of Alisa's faith journey and have an opportunity to ask questions of her journey. Your attendance at Alisa's Ecclesiastical Council is encouraged. Your support is greatly appreciated.
A Choral Tapestry

Dear Friend of the Vernon Chorale,
We are pleased to present our June program, "A Choral Tapestry" on Saturday, June 3rd. True to Vernon Chorale tradition, this performance will be conducted by our Conducting Fellow. This year's conducting fellow is recent UConn graduate David Gladstein, who has programmed uplifting choral works sure to inspire. Chorale members will also perform a variety of solo and small ensemble pieces. We are enjoying working with David and can't wait to perform under his leadership!
Tickets are available for purchase on our website, at Arts Center East, and at the door on concert night. We can't wait to see you there!
Vernon town Brunch
Vernon Town Brunch (VBT) is a time to be together and share in all of the things that make us a community. Come enjoy a free meal as we connect with organizations, businesses, and people of Vernon & Rockville. This month, we have multiple musicians to enjoy, a bouce house, outdoor activities, and inside games! VTB was started by the generosity of members of the First Congregational Church of Vernon who wanted to give back to their community by providing a space and means for enjoying time together and getting to know one another.
